W^D figures are here!

Cast in a flawless metal, those must be amongst the best 1/72 (23mm) figures on the market today.  W^D's first series of figures (17 of them!) are the ideal companion to RetrokiT's 15in Siege Howitzer and forthcoming 9.2in Howitzer kits...  Many have 'multipose' features.

Kit R72034: Automitrailleuse Dodge-White

is available

72034 unpainted

This curious armoured car was designed in 1941 by the French forces in Lebanon.  It combined the chassis of a Dodge truck, part of armoured body and turret of obsolete White-Laffly armoured cars (Kit R72020), and additional plating for good measure.  Only a few were produced before the French ran out of spare plates from the White-Lafflys, and production moved on to the Automitrailleuse Dodge, better known as Tanake (Kit R72023).  Those vehicles fought with Vichy forces against the British forces in the Near-East, then soldiered on in North Africa with the Free French forces.  The kit comes with decals for one FFL armoured car.

Automitrailleuse White (WWI pattern)

72030 parts

is now available..!

This is the fore-runner to the 1930s White-Laffly 50AM; many were in service with the French army during WWI, then most soldiered on until a major 1932 refit, that gave birth to the White-Laffly 50AM armoured car.  Some were used by Brasil during the 1920s.

Our latest figure set:

WWI British Gunners with 'Teddy Bear' Jackets

72605 unpainted

As the misery of life in open trenches began to be experienced, protective clothing was issued to the BEF.  This took many shapes, which men added to whatever they managed to get from home or from the battlefield.  In fact, an official, purpose designed waterproofed cape was only issued from 1917...

Late in 1914, however, animal fur coats, commonly made from goat or sheepskin, were issued to those employed inexposed roles such as drivers, dispatch riders and sentries.  Photographic evidence shows that those garments were also popular within the Royal Artillery.  Those jackets were commonly nicknamed 'Teddy Bears', 'Wooly Bears' or even 'Stinkers'...
